Hmm where to start I am a 26 year old mom who works 2 jobs and basically by not paying attention or not taking my health seriously gained a ridicolous amount of weight. Growing up I never had a weight problem. Granted I wasn’t skinny but I was a solid 12 @ 150 lbs. Then I had my son. I was up and down between my normal weight and 180 for a good 2-3 years. I was still active walking everywhere and eating decently.
Then came college! I don’t even remember eating full meals ever for the first 1.5 years. I worked full time and went to school and took care of my child, can we say stressed much. By the time I decided to take a break from school and just work I was already in the low 200′s. I had some issues with my sons father and basically didn’t really give a crap about anything. All I was trying to do was take care of me and my child.
At the age of 21 I purchased my own house and for anyone who owns a house, you know what stresses come from that type of commitment. Also in that time I met a great man who I am still with 6 years later. In that six years I have basically gained the rest of my weight. What can I say we love to eat out, drink and have fun.
About two years ago I decided I was tired of the extra weight surounding my body and decided to try the fat smash diet (with added exercise) and LOVED it. I lost 27 lbs going from 296 (my highest weight) to 269 in 3 months. I was happy and ecstatic and basically kept following a modified version for a while then I fell off my eating plan! I continued to walk during my lunch breaks but without the combined eating I wasn’t able to keep all the weight off. Only in the past 3 months have I not done anything and in turn I have gained 10 lbs bringing me to 279 as of the morning of November 1st 2009.
Now this blog starts my journey AGAIN. My ultimate goal is 150 lbs! That is 129 lbs from where I am today. I do not care how long it takes me to get down to my ideal weight as long as I get there healthy and happy.
